Nature in Mukteshwar has been set up to promote nature-based tourism in and around the Himalayan town of Mukteshwar in Kumaon, Uttarakhand. Our activities include training of local youth as nature guides, production of outreach material, nature awareness activities and biodiversity research in the region. We believe in ethical, participatory, sustainable and science-based nature tourism and encourage ecotourism that benefits local entrepreneurs. Therefore, local capacity-building for nature tourism is the most important part of our mandate.
